The Johnstown-Monroe school district will be holding three open forums to get input on a proposal for a new school dress code.

Officials are notifying parents that they can attend a forum tomorrow (Thursday) at the high school at 6 p.m.

The proposal says all students in grades nine through twelve would follow a dress code called “Johnnie Wear.”

Students got a taste of the Johnnie Wear during a fashion show in mid-April.

In a letter to parents and students, high school principal Kim Jakeway says that a large portion of his day is wasted on enforcing the current dress code.

Additional forums are planned for May 20 and May 21.
