A man has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated for the sixth time since 1983.

51-year-old Gary Fulton was driving a Jeep early Saturday morning when he tried to make a left turn off of West National Drive where there is no intersecting roadway and ran into an unoccupied home.

Officials say the vehicle may have gone completely through the house if it hadn’t hit a hot water heater.

Fulton is facing misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless operation and driving with implied consent suspension.
