Local senior citizens wanting to enjoy a sunny day at the beach should consider attending the Senior Citizens’ Day Beach Party, hosted by the Career and Technology Education Centers of Licking County (C-TEC, formerly the Licking County JVS). The festivities are scheduled for 12:30 to 3 p.m. May 7th.
Only the first 250 reservations for the annual Senior Citizens’ Day will be accepted. People may preregister by calling 740-364-2278 or register the day of the event starting at 12:30 p.m. Registration and lunch will cost $3.
Activities will include entertainment by local ventriloquist Al Getler; free height, weight and blood pressure screenings by Medical Academy Program students; a flower sale by Horticulture Academy students; games; and door prizes. Lunch will feature chicken with pineapple barbecue sauce, potato salad, green beans, strawberry shortcake and beverages.
Students in the LCJVS Hospitality and Tourism, Criminal Justice and Food Management/Culinary Arts programs will assist with the event.
